About Us
Our Founder
Paty was born and raised in Honduras in a single-parent household alongside her four sisters and two brothers. Her mother worked tirelessly and sacrificially to provide for their family, modeling strength, perseverance, and unconditional love.
Paty later became a full-time missionary and faithfully served in ministry for nine years throughout Central America, South America, parts of Europe, and Madagascar. In addition to ministry work, she was actively involved in community development efforts—supporting families through outreach initiatives, resource coordination, and programs designed to strengthen local communities. During this time, she worked with people from all walks of life—those facing poverty, hardship, loneliness, and uncertainty—sharing not only the message of hope found in Jesus, but also offering encouragement, compassion, and practical support.
These experiences deeply impacted Paty and helped her see both the immense needs that exist in the world and the powerful difference that love, faith, and practical support can make in someone’s life. She witnessed firsthand how even small acts of kindness, combined with access to the right resources, could transform individuals, families, and entire communities.
It was through her upbringing and years of ministry and community development that the vision for The Means Inc. was born.
The Means exists to be exactly that—a means through which hope, support, and opportunity can reach those who need it most. Paty founded The Means with a heart to serve others, empower individuals, and create lasting, meaningful change. Her vision is rooted in faith and driven by the belief that every person has value, purpose, and the potential for a better future when given the right support and opportunity.
Today, that vision continues to guide The Means Inc. as it works to impact lives, strengthen communities, and bring hope to people both locally and globally.
